Yes. Leveling the trailer with leveling chocks is standard practice on uneven campsites and is recommended. Keeping the trailer as level as possible makes setup easier and helps ensure that the roof, walls, and zippers are evenly tensioned.

Yes. We generally recommend using hurricane supports, as they significantly increase stability.

For a neat door closure, we recommend using an additional support rod. It helps to tension the door evenly, improves the fit, and makes it easier to use the zipper. It’s important that the door isn’t closed under tension.

First, level your trailer as much as possible. Then position and tension the ROLLI PLUS roof so that the tent stands straight and the roof surfaces are evenly tensioned.

The goal is to align the roof so that no uneven tension develops and rainwater can drain off optimally.

On very uneven ground, we recommend using leveling chocks to align the trailer as straight as possible and create optimal setup conditions.

Close the top zipper of the awning bag as far as it will go easily and without force. This secures the bag more firmly and reduces flapping in the wind. Important: Never force the zipper closed, as this can damage the zipper, the seam, or the fabric.

Make sure the roof is taut and wrinkle-free, the side walls are evenly tensioned, and both the interior and exterior are securely tensioned. The roof should be tensioned so that rainwater can run off and no pools of water form. At the same time, seams and zippers must not be under excessive tension. In strong winds, storm straps should be secured early on. For the exact sequence, please refer to the setup video and the setup instructions.

The best way to roll it up is with two people. Both people should guide the awning evenly so that the fabric rolls up straight and no major wrinkles form. Before rolling it up, remove as much dirt and moisture as possible. If the awning is rolled up while wet, it should be opened again and dried as soon as possible.

Close the top zipper of the awning bag as far as possible. This provides additional support for the bag and reduces flapping in the wind.

Important: Close the zipper only until it moves easily. Never force it shut.

Zippers should always be closed evenly and without tension. If a zipper is difficult to operate, first adjust the tension of the wall or door. Do not pull or force the zipper, as this can damage the teeth, slider, or seams.

A correctly tensioned awning ensures maximum stability, optimal water drainage, and a long service life.

The awning bag should extend as evenly as possible on both sides. We recommend about 15 to a maximum of 20 cm on each side. This distributes the load more evenly and makes setup easier.

The ridge should be adjusted so that the roof is taut and no water pockets form. At the same time, the seams must not be subjected to excessive stress.

Vario corners compensate for differences in the angle of the caravan’s front slope. This allows the side walls to stand straighter and be tensioned more evenly. This improves the fit, appearance, and functionality of the awning, especially for caravans with a more rounded shape or a steeper slope at the front.

The panels should be clean, dry, and folded as flat as possible. Fold the panels from right to left and then place them flat in the carrying bag. Be careful not to crease the window films sharply and do not pack any hard objects with them.

First, set up the roof and align it properly. Then insert the side and front walls. Adjustable support poles, even pre-tensioning of the roof, and a steady, step-by-step assembly process are helpful. In windy conditions, on steep slopes, or when handling heavy components, setting up the tent with two people is significantly easier and safer.

As a rule of thumb, the roof bars should be positioned about a finger’s width away from the respective roof corrugation.

Yes, according to the information in the FAQ, ROLLI PLUS models can also be used on caravans with a vehicle width of 2.50 m. The key factors remain the correct overall dimensions, proper installation according to the assembly instructions, and a suitable channel rail. For special configurations or if you have any doubts, please contact customer service before placing your order.

Measure with a flexible tape measure directly along the track. Start at the floor on one side of the RV, run the tape measure continuously along the track up to the roof, and end at the floor on the other side. It is important not to measure diagonally or “in the air,” but rather strictly along the rail. Only a correctly determined circumference measurement ensures that the awning or canopy will fit properly and can be set up without any tension.

According to the Word file, many ROLLI PLUS models are available in depths of 2.50 m or 3.00 m. Exceptions include at least the ROLLI PLUS One and ROLLI PLUS All Season, which are listed only in a depth of 2.50 m. For the ROLLI PLUS One, a “Big Corner” is also mentioned, which allows for a floor depth of 3.00 m.

The correct size depends on the perimeter measurement of your trailer. The perimeter measurement is the length of the channel rail, measured from the floor on one side of the vehicle, across the roof, to the floor on the other side of the vehicle. For initial guidance, use the perimeter measurement finder on our homepage. For older trailers, repairs, modifications, or altered channel rails, you should also measure the perimeter directly on the vehicle. The ROLLI PLUS All Season is specifically designed for year-round and seasonal campers. It is described as suitable for year-round use and designed for continuous use, featuring window flaps, high stability, and a 32-mm steel frame. This does not automatically mean that it is suitable for heavy snow loads. For winter camping with snow and ice loads, you should consider winter tents specifically designed for this purpose.

The WIGO ROLLI PLUS Special Stone and WIGO ROLLI PLUS Special Ambiente are listed as options for camper vans with lift-up beds. If a customer owns a camper van with a lift-up bed, they should be specifically referred to these special models.

Check the waterproofing regularly:

Avoid harsh cleaning agents.

A wet awning should be opened again and dried as soon as possible.

It should be unrolled to dry after a few days at the latest.

Be sure to maintain them regularly and store the window films in a dry place after your camping trip. Moisture and prolonged exposure to wet conditions can cause the film to discolor or become cloudy.

Tip: Store the window films as clean and dry as possible to enjoy a clear view for a long time.

For older trailers, the actual dimensions may differ from the manufacturer’s specifications. This can be due to repairs, modifications, retrofitted channel rails, or age-related variations. Therefore, be sure to measure the overall dimensions directly on the vehicle before placing your order.

If your model does not appear in the clearance gauge finder, measure the clearance directly on the vehicle. The measurement you take yourself is generally more reliable than a general manufacturer’s specification, especially for older or modified vehicles. We recommend using additional storm straps, Peggy Peg anchor plates, extra guy lines, and ensuring the roof is perfectly taut without any wrinkles. Also, check the tent stakes, anchor points, and poles regularly.

Yes, but only to a limited extent. The aluminum poles are not designed to withstand heavy snow loads. For extended winter use or camping in snowy and icy conditions, we recommend the INUIT winter tents.

Peggy Peg anchor plates are used to securely fasten the support poles. The poles are inserted into the plates, locked in place, and secured to the ground using matching stakes. This makes the poles more stable and helps prevent them from slipping in windy conditions.

Stability depends, among other things, on the location, soil conditions, setup, roof tension, guy lines, and the securing accessories used. It is important to ensure proper storm bracing, suitable stakes or anchor plates, storm straps, and a roof tensioning system free of wrinkles. In the event of a storm warning, do not rely on the calculated load limit.

First, extend the awning only partially, keep at least one side secured, and attach the storm straps early on. Whenever possible, two people should set up the awning in windy conditions. If strong gusts occur or the awning cannot be held securely, stop the setup process.
